SHA stands for Secure Hashing Algorithm and refers to the way websites handle secure data, such as payment information. In 2017, the outdated SHA-1 algorithm was phased out in favor of the upgraded SHA-2 version. You may have received a notice from us at that time instructing you on how to upgrade your web browser or payment terminal to comply with SHA-2 standards.
If you're still processing payments today, don't worry! SHA-1 is now completely unsupported, and you would not be able to process payments if you were still using it. Your customers' data is protected with state-of-the-art technology.
