How do I make a sale using my First Data FD 130?

There are actually two ways to process a sale transaction on the FD 130. Here's how to do both:

Method 1:

1. Press Sale

2. Type in the amount

3. If prompted, type the tip amount or press the red [x] key to skip

4. Insert chip card, tap contactless card/device, swipe magnetic card, or key in card number

5. If prompted, select Credit or Debit

6. If prompted, enter cash back amount

7. If prompted, instruct the customer to enter their PIN on the PIN pad

8. The terminal will then connect and complete the transaction

9. If approved, the receipts will print

10. Instruct the customer to remove their chip card when prompted (if applicable)

Method 2:

1. Insert the chip card or swipe magnetic stripe card

2. Type in the sale amount

3. If prompted, enter the tip amount or press the red [x] key to skip

4. If prompted, select Credit or Debit

5. If prompted, enter cash back amount

6. If prompted, instruct the customer to enter their PIN on the PIN pad

7. The terminal will connect and complete the transaction

8. If approved, the receipts will print

9. Instruct the customer to remove their chip card when prompted (if applicable)
